The French Riviera in style...

Nice...from the moment we flew into Nice over that incredible expanse of blue water we knew we were in for something special. Nice is such a city of contrasts from the incredibly long stretch of promenade running along side the beach to the port area housing a thousand yachts to the older quarter where you will find a patisserie on every corner! As they say, Nice is the capital of the French Riviera and it lead us to other great places all within such short distances. I must say our visit to Nice's famous Cours Sayar market, housing fresh flowers and local produce was outstanding...

Eze...small and quaint but with a whole lot of charm the town of Ezekiel was something special. Only needing a couple of hours there one cannot leave without visiting the stunning gardens, perched high up on the hill with a spectacular view...

Monaco...glitz, glamour and one of the hottest places to be seen on the French Riviera! As soon as you arrive in this dazzling city you are overwhelmed by what this fantasy land has to offer. As you walk from store to store...Valentino, Prada, Gucci, Hermes and Chanel, the list goes on...you realise if one had money this is where you come to holiday! When visiting Monaco one cannot go past stepping inside the magnificent Monte Carlo casino followed by some incredible people (and car) watching at Cafe de Paris...

Antibes...only a short train ride away from Nice, the town of Antibes was another great find that had so many winding streets that you have to get lost in. Beautiful beaches, a port again filled with the largest boats we have ever seen, one with its private helicopter on the back, and an incredible sculpture overlooking the water only added to its charm...

Cannes...where talent is born at the Cannes film festival! One must go to Cannes simply to have their photograph taken on the stairs of the auditorium that has seen the great stars o Hollywood filter through over the years...

Sardinia and Corsica...slices of Mediterranean heaven!

After flying into the Sardinian capital of Cagliari, we discovered this small country in the Mediterranean had plenty to offer. A mix of luxury boutiques and high street shopping, stunning old architecture and an endless stretch of white sandy beach, Cagliari was not what we expected it to be...

Cagliari...

Santa Teresa...a small town on the tip of Sardinia which could not prove to be more beautiful or picturesque. We certainly spent plenty of time admiring this view...

Bonifacio...where the other half play...I don't recall the last time I felt that I was surrounded by so much obvious wealth. After spending our first night in Bonifacio in what is known as "Old Town" where we enjoyed traditional Corsican food in a quiet restaurant, we ventured to the port area on our second day. A long stretch of port side esplanade full of restaurants, bars and cares with boutiques full of designer goods sits along side a glittering port full of millions of dollars worth of yachts, catamarans and all things nautical.

Stay tuned...we now head to the south of France!

The Amalfi Coast...what dreams are made of.

The Amalfi Coast...where do I start! Whilst it is quite the mission to get to...our arrival in the town of Positano on the coast of Amalfi can only be described as breathtaking. Pictures alone can not convey the ultimate beauty of a place like this...it needs to be seen to be believed. From umbrella lined stone beaches to the crystal clear waters this is a place I could get used to...

The way the entire town is built into the side of a cliff certainly makes for one of a kind views and unique architecture, however creates a sense of unease with the number of steps one must climb to venture around.

Our days included trips to the private beaches of Fornillo and Adolpho, incredible food by the sea and drinks and aperitifs with the locals as we watched the sun go down...

Tour to the isle of Capri...stops at the blue and green grottos on the way followed by a spot of shopping in Capri and lunch in a family run pizzeria in Anacapri.

We visited the beautiful town of Ravello...a small and quiet town built into the hill side and a favourite hide out for celebrities, it is made up of a few boutiques, stunning gardens and many 5 star hotels.

More pics to come...stay tuned!
